Welcome Tomson!

It has been a little while since our last newsletter, and we are grateful for your patience as we reconnect and share some updates from CIM Canada.
This past year has been one filled with change, transition, and at times, uncertainty. There have been many questions to navigate and decisions to prayerfully consider. Yet through it all, one thing has remained constant: God has been faithful.
Even in seasons when the path ahead is not always clear, we are reminded that this ministry ultimately belongs to Him. God continues to provide the right people, wisdom, and direction at the right time, and we are grateful for the many ways we have seen His hand at work.
With that in mind, and on behalf of the Board of Directors, I am very pleased to share that Tomson Chan has accepted the role of Acting Executive Director of CIM Canada.
As our Board considered who could help lead CIM Canada through this next season, we knew we needed someone who already understood the heart of our ministry, valued our relationships with churches and missionaries, and could help bring greater stability and clarity as we move forward. Tomson quickly came to mind.
Tomson is no stranger to CIM Canada. He has previously served on our Board of Directors, including serving as Board Chair, and brings with him both familiarity with the ministry and a deep commitment to its mission. More importantly, Tomson has a genuine heart for God and for people, along with a desire to see God's Kingdom advance through the work of CIM Canada.
We are thankful for Tomson’s willingness to step into this role and for God’s calling on his life in this season. We have also been encouraged by his continued commitment to missions, most recently seen as he and his wife, Lisa, led a mission trip to Ghana with a team from CIM Australia. We recognize there is important work ahead as we strengthen communication, support our field ministries, and continue discerning God’s direction for CIM Canada, but we are grateful to take these next steps together with a renewed sense of hope and purpose.
Please join us in warmly welcoming Tomson and in praying for him as he begins serving as Acting Executive Director. Pray for wisdom, strength, humility, and discernment as he leads, and pray for our Board, staff, missionaries, and ministry partners as we continue serving together.
Next month, you will hear directly from Tomson as he introduces himself, shares some of his hopes for CIM Canada, and reflects on what he is looking forward to in the year ahead.
Thank you for continuing to pray, give, serve, and walk alongside CIM Canada. Please do keep all our ministries in prayers. Please pray for Rev. Isaac as he continues to go through health challenges, and for Janice as her family continues to adapt to being a family of four. We are grateful for your partnership and look forward with hope to what God will do in this next chapter.
