Meet Pastor Silas
We welcomed Pastor Silas Fordjour and his family to his first posting as an ECG trained pastor to Bimbilla this month! Pastor Ezekiel and his family have also relocated to their new posting in Kyinderi. I look forward to getting to know these new communities in the area and we pray for God’s favour on Pastor Ezekiel, his family and their ministry. Pray also for Pastor Silas and his family as they get to know their new environment and start to develop relationships with the community members.
Before Pastor Ezekiel’s departure, I was able to pay a visit to the new believers in Suburini. I am very humbled by the faithful work of the pastors and those who have had a part in planting seeds within the community. Prior to Pastor Ezekiel’s time there, Pastor Emmanuel (now in Nyankpala) spent over 10 years witnessing to those communities. We all celebrated and praised God together for those who have come to accept Christ, and we pray for the Holy Spirit’s teaching and guidance for the new believers, and God’s grace over the transition of pastors.
The ECG National School Coordinator and I also met with the Parent Teacher Association of the school in Gmanejere. Since the school’s opening in January, the community has been very responsive and cooperative with the school’s leadership. The community’s desire is for the children to have an educational opportunity, starting at a primary level. We thank God for the local church’s response to this need and pray for God’s guidance and provision for the needs of the school. The school is currently held in the church structure, but has yet to be roofed. The roofing of the church building is a pressing need especially as rainy season quickly approaches.
Please continue to pray for the other ECG pastors across the country, with some of them also facing upcoming transitions with new roles and postings in different communities. Pray also for some of the pastors who are facing health challenges.
